Warcraft 2 Plot
Warcraft 2 picks up where Warcraft left off. After the death of King Llane and the betrayal of Medivh, Lothar leads the survivors of Stormwind to seek refuge in Lordaeron, where he meets with other human kings to form the Alliance. Meanwhile, Durotan's sacrifice inspires some orcs to rebel against Gul'dan's tyranny, forming a faction called the Frostwolf Rebellion. Garona, who was blamed for Llane's murder, joins them in hopes of finding a place where she belongs.
However, Gul'dan is not willing to give up his power so easily. He unleashes a new army of fel-corrupted orcs, ogres, and trolls, known as the Shadow Council, to crush both the Alliance and the Frostwolf Rebellion. He also seeks to open a new portal to Draenor, his dying homeworld, where he plans to bring an even greater evil: the Burning Legion, a demonic horde that seeks to destroy all life in the universe.
To stop Gul'dan and his sinister master plan, Lothar and Durotan's son, who grows up to be Thrall, must unite their forces and fight for the fate of Azeroth. Along the way, they will encounter new allies and enemies, such as the mysterious elves of Quel'Thalas, the savage trolls of Zul'jin's Amani tribe, and the noble dwarves of Ironforge. They will also discover secrets about the origins of their world and their races that will change everything they thought they knew.
